Of course, there have been previous auctions that have focused exclusively on Ferrari vehicles. Nevertheless, the auctionata event on September 26, 2015 is likely to be a first, as it is, as always, a live Internet auction and will also be transmitted to home PCs or mobile devices from two different locations using the spiltscreen method.
The lot list shows 27 vehicles, the total value is estimated at 13 million euros or 14 million CHF, which means an average of around half a million euros/CHF per car. The auctionata organizers have therefore set themselves some ambitious goals, as the starting/estimate prices are factors higher than at previous auctions.
The most expensive
The Ferrari 275 GTB/2 from 1965 with a short nose will be really expensive. A starting price of 1.2 million euros has been quoted, and the experts have estimated the car at between 2.4 and 2.8 million euros.
The bodywork and interior were completely restored by the renowned company AutoSport di Bacchelli e Villa in Bastiglia, just outside Modena. The technology was overhauled by specialists GipiMotor.
Schumi's Formula 1
The Ferrari F310B, which Michael Schumacher drove to victory in the 1997 Japanese Grand Prix in Suzuka and in which he also contested the legendary final race in Jerez, is also likely to be a highlight.
A starting price of 650,000 euros is quoted.
Almost virgin Berlinetta Boxer
Most of them have probably been restored today, and many have surprisingly high mileages, but the Ferrari 512 BB from 1977, sprayed in elegant Azzurro Metallizzato, has just 8640 km on the clock.
The car was once driven in Switzerland, but was part of an English collection for the last few years and was overhauled in 2010. The starting price is now expected to be 200,000 euros, with an estimate of 400,000 to 450,000 euros.
The Ferrari from Switzerland
In 1986, Franco Sbarro presented his interpretation of the Ferrari P4 based on a standard 308 GTB at the Geneva Motor Show.
The car was built for racing driver Albert Egg and it was planned to produce it in a small series. However, nothing came of it and the Sbarro P4 with its delicate plastic body remained a one-off. The estimated price is now between 200,000 and 300,000 euros, with an initial bid of 100,000 euros expected.
It can also be cheaper ...
The lowest starting price is quoted by auctionata for a Ferrari 348 TS from 1993, where €18,000 is enough to become the owner of a sports car from Maranello (presumably for a short time). The Targa version of the mid-engined, eight-cylinder sports car was estimated at between 35,000 and 45,000 euros.
Two older eight-cylinder models, which still had the engine installed transversely behind the crew and also had the coveted plastic bodywork (Vetroresina), were considerably more expensive. Only the first 800 308 GTBs had GRP bodies instead of sheet steel. The 1978 road version has now been estimated at between 200,000 and 240,000 euros, while the 1977 Group IV rally version is even 10% more expensive.
In addition to the older models, auctionata also offers more modern vehicles from Modena, including a 599 GTO, a 458 Speciale and an FXX. Collectors may also be interested in the Testarossa with the particularly popular high-mounted single rear-view mirror from 1986, which has been estimated at between 150,000 and 170,000 euros.
Further information on the individual vehicles and the auction can be found on the auctionata website.
