The Alex v. Falkenhausen Classics will take place for the 28th time on July 29 and 30, 2017. 70 teams will compete in regularity tests and a beauty contest in the Landshut area.
Once again, great attention will be paid to the selection of the 70 vehicles, which will start according to year of construction (up to a maximum of 1987) and once again take spectators on an automotive journey through time, accompanied by a unique backdrop of historic buildings.
The event is being dedicated for the 28th time to the great racing driver and engineer Alexander von Falkenhausen and for the 7th time to the charming Hilde Proebst, who contributed all her energy, time and personality to the development and maintenance of the Adlkofen car museum like no other.
The starting line-up in Neufahrn in Lower Bavaria will include an Amilcar CGS from 1924, an Invicta 3-Litre Tourer from 1928, a Horch 830 Gläser Cabriolet from 1934, a BMW 321 from 1939, a Siata 300 from 1952, a Cadillac Series 62 from 1960, a VW Bus T1 from 1962, a Chrysler New Yorker from 1965, a Glas 1300 GT, a BMW Alpina 2002 ti from 1969, an Iso Grifo from 1969, an Oldsmobile Toronado from 1970, an Opel GT from 1970, a Dino 246 GTS from 1972, a Bitter CD, a Ford Capri 2.8 Turbo from 1979 and a Jaguar XJS H.E. from 1984. The variety is therefore great, and pre-war cars are also well represented.
The race will be contested on a regular basis and in four special stages on Saturday and Sunday. There will also be a Concours d'Elégance in Landshut's old town on Sunday.
