Due to the pandemic, PS.Speicher has so far only made its depots accessible in small groups and during fixed time slots. From April 2, visitors will be able to visit the four depots for motorcycles, cars, small cars and trucks + buses every Saturday and Sunday from 10 am to 6 pm. This means that Europe's largest collection of historic vehicles will be open to the public at weekends without any time restrictions.
With the new opening hours, the museum is responding to the wishes of its visitors: "For many guests, the appointment windows were difficult to reach, and the amount of time they could spend in the respective depots was also limited. Due to the coronavirus restrictions, we can now respond to this," says Lothar Meyer-Mertel, Managing Director of PS.Speicher.
From April 2, 2022, PS.Speicher will also be offering a free shuttle service between the main exhibition and the depots at weekends, initially on a trial basis.
From Tuesday to Friday, the motorcycle depot will be accessible for a 90-minute time slot at 12:00 and the automobile depot at 14:00. The PS.Speicher depot for small cars with the visitor center is open from 11 am to 4 pm. Bookings can be made via the website www.ps-speicher.de. Groups can book an accompanied tour at [email protected].
Admission to the PS. storage facility and depots takes place under 3G conditions. The existing hygiene concept, distancing rules and the wearing of an FFP2 mask during the entire visit still apply.
The depots are open seasonally from April to October. Admission to each depot is 10 euros per person, concessions 6 euros. The small car depot and tickets for the motorcycle, automobile and small car depots are available at the ticket office in the PS.Speicher and in the visitor center at Altendorfer Tor 3. Tickets for the Truck + Bus depot are on sale in Otto-Hahn-Straße.
The main exhibition at PS.Speicher is open from Tuesday to Sunday from 10 am to 6 pm. Tickets are available directly on site and registration is not necessary.
