Alpine is celebrating its 70th birthday this year. To mark the anniversary, the French sports car brand is looking back on its adventurous history in a series of stories and videos, recalling memorable models and milestones and providing exclusive insights into the strategy and brand direction of the coming years.
When Jean Rédélé presented his first three A106s in blue, white and red livery to the Renault management in July 1955, he underlined his ambition to create a French sports car brand based on Renault powertrains. With his infectious optimism, he won the support of Renault headquarters and set in motion a unique adventure that continues to this day.
The series "70 years of Alpine" tells this story full of challenges and achievements and highlights in several episodes how Alpine intends to develop and grow in the coming years.
The first episode, entitled "The Alpine Legend", looks at the origins of the brand - and the challenges it faces in the age of electromobility. The focus is on two main protagonists: Alpine CEO Philippe Krief and Jean-Charles Rédélé, son of the brand founder, amateur driver of a modern Alpine A110 and collector of the most legendary Alpine.
They look back on the beginnings, on early motorsport successes - and on the comeback on the road and on the race track. The focus is not only on the last 70 years, but also on the next seven: During this period, Alpine aims to establish itself among the premium brands in the automotive industry - in terms of model range, sales network and brand orientation.
