On the evening of December 13, 2018, the 34th edition of the book "Rennsport Schweiz" was presented at the Seelisberg Event Center. More than 160 guests from the world of Swiss motorsport accepted the invitation from Edi Engelberger, who is already responsible for the 24th volume of the book with his Aktiv-Verlag publishing house in Stans.
There is no end in sight, at least that's what Edi Engelberger said. The meticulously complete work contains all the stages of Swiss motorsport between two book covers. It is always impressive to see how many Swiss people compete on the asphalt of the world and how successful they actually are. Not even military service can stop them, as Moto2 GP rider Dominique Aegerter and Audi DTM works driver Nico Müller appeared in uniform.
The founder of the book, Stefan Lüscher, had to take a back seat in 2015 due to his serious illness and handed over the frontline work to Peter Wyss in 2016. Nevertheless, Stefan, who was severely affected by the illness, did not miss the opportunity to attend the vernissage in person. It is precisely this fight, whether with his own body or with any racing equipment, that characterizes the true racing driver again and again.
Of course, historic motorsport also found its way back into the book. "zwischengas" has been responsible for this chapter for years and is delighted with all the crazy stories, whether from the "Battle of the Dwarves" with Nick Gregor or from the "Lurani Formula Junior Trophy" with Bruno Weibel. Let us surprise you!
