The Gaisbergrennen was once part of the European Mountain Championship, but for the past 20 years it has been an event for historic vehicles. The Gaisbergrennen will take place for the 21st time from June 19 to 21, 2025.
As in previous years, the event consists of four categories:
- City Grand Prix, one classification
- Salzburg Ring, one classification
- Gaisberg, three classifications
- Gaisberg special stage (rally/excursion)
At the Salzburgring, the speed can be freely chosen (reference lap). On the Gaisberg, the specified target time may not be undercut (average 50 km/h). The winners are determined by adding up the scoring runs. The winner is determined by the smallest time deviation.
Up to year of construction 1969/1979
All historically significant vehicles, open and closed, single and two-seater touring, sports and racing cars built up to December 31, 1969 are eligible. In addition, historically or sportingly significant vehicles built up to 31.121979 are permitted.
No road registration is required for racing vehicles, but the organizer wants to be informed in advance.
Special class for young drivers
To make it easier for young people to get started, there is a class called "Junge Gipfel Stürmer". If driver and co-driver are under 25 years old, participation is possible for EUR 1180 instead of EUR 3300 (for two people, all lunches and dinners included).
Award ceremony in the famous Hangar-7
The award ceremony will take place on Saturday, June 21, 2025 at 7:30 pm at Hangar-7 in Salzburg. In each class (touring cars, sports/GT cars, racing cars with two classes each, divided into pre-war and post-war, as well as in the special classes "Historic and sporty vehicles" 1970-1979 and "Junge Gipfel Stürmer", prizes will be awarded to places 1-3. In addition, a ladies' prize and the overall winner of the Gaisbergrennen will be chosen.
Driving with sustainable fuel
