In the 1970s up to and including 1982, the Missen-Wiederhofen hill climb was a popular season finale for many hill climb specialists from Germany and abroad. Many illustrious names from the past and present racing era can still be found in the results lists of the Missen hill climb.
Since 2003, classic car enthusiasts have found a new, interesting home in Missen. Every two years, at the beginning of May, the young at heart meet up with their lovingly and expertly restored cars and motorcycles for a regularity test on the traditional mountain route from Missen to Wiederhofen.
Driving evenly wins
This is not primarily about top speeds. The driver in his class who has the smallest time difference between the individual runs through the light barrier at the finish after 3 scoring runs is the winner of his class.
The event begins on the first day with the administrative and technical vehicle inspection. Drivers and vehicles are then introduced to the public, and interesting facts about drivers and vehicles, vehicle history and special features are announced. You can take your time to look at the vehicles and learn some interesting facts about the vehicle from the driver.
The official training starts at 8:30 am on the second day. Two runs have to be completed and after the lunch break, the scoring runs begin. The results will be calculated after three races. The award ceremony will then take place in the paddock.
