Back in the 1980s, Renault helped the R5 back on its feet by installing a mid-engine behind the driver/passenger. The experiment was repeated at the end of the nineties, except that the Sport Clio V6 24V could now count on a three-liter six-cylinder engine. The utility value decreased, but the fun factor increased disproportionately. Does that still apply today? This driving report tells the story of the unusual sports model and shows it in many historical and current pictures.
