The Porsche 924 Carrera GT was built in 1980 as an evolutionary model and basic model for racing homologation in Group 4 in 406 units and sold for DM 60,000 or 58,000 francs. At the time, nobody offered more horsepower per liter of displacement, but despite this top performance and its racing orientation, the Carrera GT was a sports car that was perfectly suitable for long distances.
