People are always talking about Maserati cars being undervalued compared to Ferrari sports cars. At least one car that Coys auctioned off on Friday, May 9, 2014 as part of the Grand Prix Historique de Monaco teaches us better. Lot 165, a 1960 Maserati 3500 GT with a Touring body, changed hands for 249,400 euros or CHF 304,268. This is probably the most expensive 3500 GT Touring ever traded. The other Maserati sports cars were not quite able to keep up: the buyer put down Euro 75,800 or CHF 92,476 for a 1967 Maserati Mistral 4000, while the 1971 Maserati Indy America on offer was worth Euro 57,500 or CHF 70,150.
