Summary
RM/Sotheby's realized just over USD 60 million at the Amelia Island auction on 14 March 2015. Only two cars remained unsold, but there were still some disappointments, but also many surprises. Several Porsche Turbo models shone, but some Ferrari sports cars also clearly outperformed their estimated prices. This auction report analyzes the results and shows the detailed results in a sortable table, supplemented by images of all the vehicles.

Preview (beginning of the article)
RM/Sotheby's were the last of the three auction houses that wanted to make just under 101 cars palatable to their customers. However, this did not appear to be a disadvantage, as RM tended to perform slightly better than Bonhams and Gooding before it, with only two unsold vehicles. The total result was just over 60 million on March 14, 2015, when Max Girardo swung the hammer for the last time (and some discussions afterwards led to further sales not yet fully completed during the auction). The average price for a car at RM was therefore USD 606,975 (EUR 576,626 or CHF 613,045). No wonder the RM people were rubbing their hands with satisfaction. And the numerous spectators had plenty to see, not least because of the practical revolving stage on which the vehicles could be rolled for presentation.
