In cooperation with Formula 1, RM Sotheby's auctioned 40 cars and a few automobilia on the occasion of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix on the Yas Marina circuit on November 30, 2019. The auction took place on the start-finish straight of the F1 circuit. Almost all the cars were driven up to the area between the audience and the auctioneer and then auctioned off. Some lots went under the hammer for a good cause. The total value of the vehicles was estimated at around USD 54 million, and not quite a quarter were offered without a reserve price. The spectrum dominated by Ferrari, Porsche and Lamborghini cars ranged from super classics to potential neo-classics.
