Summary
For many years, the automotive industry has been meeting every year in March at the Geneva Motor Show. Since the 1980s, new cars, concept vehicles and visions of the future have been on display at the airport in the Palexpo halls. Much is the same in 2017 as in previous years, but there are also some special features. Unfortunately, there is little tradition and old metal on display at the 87th Geneva Motor Show from March 9 to 19, 2017, but there are (laudable) exceptions, which are covered in this show report (with over 200 images), as are some of the modern successors.
This article contains the following chapters
- Almost like 50 years ago - Monteverdi
- And a racing car selection
- The future? Flying car
- The visions of the designers
- Really old sheet metal too
- Modernized classics
- Retro design not over yet
- Refined exhibition technology
- And a game of colors and shapes
- Small and not so small differences
- Like in the theater

Exactly 50 years after the first appearance of the Monteverdi brand, the eyes of Salon visitors are once again on the cars of Peter Monteverdi. However, the omens are different.
