Summary
The 89th Geneva Motor Show from March 7 to 17, 2019 will feature many new products and some world premieres, but at the same time there will be more classic and vintage cars on display than in recent years. A return to tradition or efficient use of open spaces seems to be the question here. This trade fair report invites those at home to take a virtual tour of the salon halls and many of the new products. Of course, the old cars are given a lot of space in the picture gallery with over 200 photos.

Preview (beginning of the article)
The 89th Geneva Motor Show is perhaps an automobile exhibition at a turning point. Never before have there been so many electrically powered car concepts at the Geneva Motor Show, never before have there been so many electric cars that you can (almost) buy. While major car brands stay away from the show and present their (new) cars in other ways, vehicles that you would otherwise expect to see at classic car shows are making their way to Geneva. The motor show industry has reached a turning point and it is unclear what the future will look like. For visitors to the 89th Geneva Motor Show (now called "GIMS"), this need not be a disadvantage. They can immerse themselves in a huge world of cars and enjoy spacious stand areas, wide aisles and plenty of catering options.
