Experts were surprised. A French auction company holding an auction in Paris exclusively of Mercedes-Benz vehicles did not seem like a recipe for success at first glance. But Artcurial managed to put together a portfolio of 54 interesting cars and sell the majority of them on October 15, 2017 at prices at the estimated value level. Chapeau! In terms of figures, the hammer fell successfully on 42 vehicles, which meant a sales share of 78 percent. In terms of turnover, the cars found new owners for a total of 8.75 million euros (or CHF 10.06 million), i.e. an average of EUR 208,400, which was around eight percent more than the average expected before the auction.
