In the run-up to the ADAC 24h race at the Nürburgring, the 24h Classic took place again this year. Unfortunately, the name was still not the program, because as in previous years, the Classics edition only lasted 3 hours. However, the spectators did get to see a lot during this time. With a field of 200 historic touring cars and six GT cars, the crowd was even larger than that of the main event with 155 cars, and the accidents were not long in coming either. Joachim Kiesch's BMW M3 E30 was badly hit, with the front and rear badly smashed and the roof also badly damaged. Fortunately, the driver escaped unscathed.
