The Dutch The NET Services Youngtimer Touring Car Challenge (YTCC) also made an appearance at the Hockenheim Historics in April 2011 and impressed with thrilling duels and a pleasing variety of vehicles. Within the YTCC, racing cars from groups 1 to 5 and A/N racing cars up to 1990 compete against each other. The rules allow extensive modifications to the vehicles as long as the parts are period-correct. FIA regulations only apply in the area of safety. Most of the cars are prepared in the same way as they were raced many years ago. One of the most beautiful cars in the series is certainly the green Renault-Alpine A310 driven by 63-year-old Ron Kluits. It is a Group IV model. The engine has 2,790 cm3, 296 camshafts and 40IDA 3C carburetors from Weber. The power output is 209 hp, but there are already plans to replace the engine with a 3-liter version with Kugelfischer injection and around 300 hp.
