In the 1920s, many small brands emerged in France that developed successful racing cars. Salmson and Amilcar, for example, are still well-known today. Lombard also belonged to this group. André Lombard, himself a racing driver, began producing automobiles in 1927 with the founders "Bollack, Netter et Cie"(B.N.C.) in Argenteuil (France). The company only existed for three years, but its designs were ambitious and interesting. Despite its proximity to B.N.C., Lombard had to cease production in 1929! During the three years, a four-cylinder model with 1083cc, which was also available with a supercharger, and even a 3-liter eight-cylinder were produced! In total, almost 100 Lombards were built in the B.N.C. factories. Lombard's sporting masterpieces include the best time in training at Le Mans in 1928 and victory in the 24h Bol d`Or Race in 1929. Participation in Brookland and the Mille Miglia demonstrate its international presence.
