The TV multi-part "The Knife", based on a screenplay by Francis Durbridge, swept the streets at the time. In the cinema, Sean Connery chased after villains in the new Bond film "Diamond Fever", Romy Schneider flirted with Michel Piccoli in "The Girl and the Inspector" and Clint Eastwood played the tough guy in "Dirty Harry".
