The Ferrari GTO, derived from the Ferrari Berlinetta 250 GT, with which the Maranello-based company won most of the rounds of the Gran Turismo World Constructors' Championship last season, has only its name in common with a genuine Gran Turismo car. In reality, it is a vehicle for pure racing purposes, in which almost every comfort has been sacrificed for the sake of high performance. The driving performance, however, is beyond the imagination of any everyday motorist, and the super-powerful GTO is also a racer that can only be mastered by a limited group of drivers. We had the opportunity to drive the Ferrari GTO, recently acquired by the Geneva-based Scuderia Filipinetti in Modena, from Modena to Lausanne.
