It is certainly no coincidence that the Ferrari 250 GTO is the most expensive car in history. In 2012, an example that was once driven by Stirling Moss changed hands for USD 35 million. This is an impressive amount of money for a means of transportation, but the GTO is more than that. The Ferrari 250 GTO is regarded as the last racing car from Ferrari suitable for everyday use. Just 39 examples were built and it enjoyed above-average success in racing. Three world championship titles and countless race and class victories can be attributed to the "Gran Turismo Omologato" from Ferrari. In addition to the predominant three-liter versions, there was also the lesser-known four-liter version, of which only three were built.
