The Meyers Manx, developed at the time by Californian Bruce Meyers, stood for sun, sand and fun like almost no other vehicle and was the epitome of the Californian lifestyle of the late sixties. The simple design and use of a VW Beetle chassis and engine quickly became so popular that countless imitators flooded the market. And the buggy soon appeared in films too, even in James Bond. Here, however, we will focus on a converted Meyers Manx from the film "Thomas Crown is Unbelievable" (original title: "The Thomas Crown affair"), which became world-famous thanks to Hollywood. Steve McQueen was known to love cars and motorcycles, so it is not surprising that it was his idea to use a modified Meyers Manx buggy as a movie car.
