Summary
No, this Mangusta is not a De Tomaso, but a Qvale, even though the two names were definitely linked. And it doesn't necessarily impress with its Gandini design, but rather with its concept and inner qualities. It is also rarer than even the smallest series of Porsches or Ferraris.

In fact, it was these two models that made the racing and sports car company founded by Alejandro De Tomaso in 1959 best known. The Pantera, which De Tomaso also built with the support of Ford, was launched in 1971 and was to become the most important model for many years, even when other vehicle types such as the Deauville or the Longchamps appeared. In 1993, De Tomaso presented the Guarà, a mid-engined successor to the Pantera, but it would be a while before the car could go into series production. The surprise was all the greater at the Geneva Motor Show in 1996 when the Biguà was shown on the De Tomaso stand.
