The Morris 1300 Traveller was suitable for moving house, but also as a double bed on long journeys. The estate version of the ADO 16 series amazed with its extensive variability and plenty of interior space. However, the three-door estate was significantly more expensive than the saloons. A car just over 3.7 meters long and 1.5 meters wide, in which five people can sit comfortably, but two people can also sleep comfortably in a bed-like environment, or with which you can transport 1.1 cubic meters? This almost seems like an egg of Columbus. But the Morris 1100 Traveller, or Austin 1100 Countryman, was sold from 1966 as an evolution of the basic model introduced in 1962. The Morris 1100 was presented to the press in August 1962, initially as a four-door model and technically related to the Mini, which had already been known for three years. The lower mid-range car, known internally as the ADO 16, shared the same basic layout. The car impressed right from the start.
