In January 1988, the magazine "Sport Auto" wrote with an ironic undertone "The LM is primarily aimed at governments that have a desert to defend" and called it an "off-road sculpture". In 1987, it was dubbed the "Rambo Lambo" in "Car and Driver" magazine. We are of course talking about the Lamborghini LM002, Lamborghini's first off-road vehicle. Originally, Lamborghini and the US company Mobility Technology International were to build an off-road successor to the Jeep for the US Army. Two rear-engine prototypes were created with the name "Cheetah", which were powered by Chrysler V8 engines with a displacement of just under 6 liters and only produced around 180 hp.
