When the Ford Capri 2.8 Injection was presented at the Geneva Motor Show in March 1981, hardly anyone would have bet on the success of the new model. After all, the design was already 14 years old and standard construction with a rigid rear axle was no longer in vogue. But the Capri 2.8 Injection extended the life of the family sports coupé once again and became one of the most popular models in the series. This driving report tells the story of the fuel-injected Capri and shows it in many current and historical pictures, complemented by a soundtrack worth listening to.
