The cars with the prancing horse, the famous "Cavallino rampante", have always been something special, and the wealthy and prominent customers liked to adorn themselves with one of these exclusive automobiles from Maranello - even today. When Ferrari decided to build an open-top version of the 330 GTC coupé, in-house designer Pininfarina was commissioned as usual. He gave the 330 GTS, in which the "S" stands for "Spider", a timelessly beautiful dress that still cuts an excellent figure today, both open and closed. The open-top version of the 330 GTS was unveiled at the 1966 Paris Motor Show; the car portrayed in this article is number 28 of around 100 produced and was built in 1967. The V12 engine had a displacement of 3967 cc and produced 300 hp, which was available at 6600 rpm. The maximum torque of 325 Nm was balanced on the crankshaft at 5000 rpm, and three Weber twin carburetors supplied the engine with an ignitable mixture.
