In 1967, the Lamborghini Miura was one of the most progressive sports cars you could buy. This made it a thorn in the side not only of Ferrari, but also of many other vehicle manufacturers. Public interest was great. Hobby magazine was given the private Miura of opera singer Grace Bumbry for a test drive. We're certainly not speed fanatics, but every now and then it's fun to drive 200 km/h in a Mercedes 600 or a glass BMW 3000 V8, or even 220 km/h in a Porsche 911 S or Maserati Quattroporte. A car, on the other hand, that simply leaves even the Porsche 911 S standing - that's something we've never had in our hands before! Our Swiss colleague Willi Lanek from Lugano made it possible for us to borrow the privately owned road jet for a hobby test. That wasn't so easy, because this 'wonder car' can only be found in the 'stables' of very high celebrities: It is a car of kings and stars, even an emperor is among them, the Shah of Persia! In addition to many illustrious names from politics, sport and show business, for example Robert Kennedy, Gracia Patricia of Monaco etc. Of course, it was difficult to get close to these celebrities. But Lanek did not give up. And he managed to get the brand new Lamborghini of the world-famous opera singer Grace Bumbry.
