Summary
Throughout her life, the pretty Flavia was overshadowed by her two sisters. The older one was much prettier, the younger one far more successful than her. This article tells the story of the Lancia Flavia with a focus on the elegant coupés accompanied by many historical photos and shows a late Coupé 2000 on current video and audio material.

Lancia was to update its model range from top to bottom. For his part, Fessia was a newcomer to Lancia. He had only joined the family business in March 1955, where he had inherited a difficult legacy as the successor to the great Vittorio Jano. The mechanical engineer, who was also a lecturer at Turin Polytechnic, pursued a completely different, far more rational approach than his famous predecessor. Fessia was an advocate of front-wheel drive, as he believed that a car's driving safety was more important than its driving dynamics.
