1733 museums and collections from 85 countries – this is https://automuseums.info, the most comprehensive guide to automotive museums.
The directory lists museums and collections which are open to the public – either by appointment or via regular opening hours or even for a few days a year. National museums, regional museums, private collections are all included, displaying cars, motorcycles, trucks, buses, scale models and automobilia.
The automuseum team, together with Synergy Marketing, a digital marketing agency, developed new features:
- a route planner. Plan your next holiday with automotive museums. The route planner enables to calculate a route and share it with your friends;
- a highly flexible search engine; and
- a weekly newsletter, which features the latest museum events, new vehicle acquisitions and other exciting news.
The directory is edited by dr. Pal Negyesi, a Hungarian-born motoring historian, publisher and museum professional who wrote a PhD thesis on the history of automotive museums at the University of Leicester in 2019.
Further information is available on the website or directly from Pal Negyesi.
