The Zurich Classic Car Award is a Concours d'Elégance of breathtaking classic cars on Bürkliplatz in the heart of Zurich. In 2014, it will be held for the third time in its current form.
Two new classes
Two new classes are being created for the ZCCA 2014, namely the "Single-Seaters" and "Bill Mitchell Tribute".
Anyone who would like to show off their formula racer to an admiring audience in the middle of Zurich can now register it.
The Bill Mitchell category is intended to pay tribute to an ingenious designer from America. Bill Mitchell was head of the GM Design Studio for many years with the rank of Vice President. We owe him milestones in Detroit automobile design such as the 1957 Chevrolet, the 1959 Cadillac, the C2 Corvette Stingray, various Buick Riviera, Oldsmobile Toronado and other breathtaking models from the Swinging Fifties and Sixties.
The following vehicles, among others, would be wonderful at the ZCCA 2014:
- Chevrolet 1957, 2-door Coupé, Nomad or Convertible
- Chevrolet Corvette 1963 to 1967 Coupé (split window preferred)
- Cadillac 1959 Convertible (if possible Eldorado Biarritz)
- Oldsmobile Toronado 1966 to 1968
- Buick Riviera 1964 to 1965 and 1971 to 1972
- Chevrolet Camaro 1970
In addition to the two new classes, the existing ones will be continued:
- Best Prewar Open
- Best Prewar Closed
- Best Postwar pre-1960 Open
- Best Postwar pre-1960 Closed
- Best Post-1960 Open
- Best Post-1960 Closed
- Best Unrestored Car
- Best Public's Favorite
- Best of Show
Simple program
The proven program will be maintained:
