10 years of the Zoute Grand Prix!
The first Zoute Grand Prix took place in 2009. Now this event is celebrating its tenth anniversary!
Zoute Grand Prix 2019 - Program
This year, the Grand Prix will once again take place on Belgium's glamorous coast from October 10 to 13. Traditionally, the standard program consists of rallies (Zoute Rally® by Stow), open-air presentations of various premium brands (Zoute Top-Marques®), a Concours d'Elegance (Zoute Concours d'Elegance® by Degroof Petercam) as well as a GT Tour (Zoute GT-Tour® by EY).
Expected premium brands include Aston Martin, Bentley, Jaguar, Ferrari, Mercedes-Benz, Porsche, Land Rover and many more.
Zoute Sale by Bonhams
Finally, a Bonhams auction (Zoute Sale® by Bonhams) rounds off the program. In 2017, the auction achieved a record amount of around 6 million euros. This puts the Zoute Sale right at the top of Europe and, thanks to its good reputation, on a par with the Quail Lodge Auction (during the Pebble Beech Concours d'Elegance in Carmel, USA). A similar level of interest is expected this year, both from Switzerland and abroad. Both national and international racing cars, classic cars, etc. will come under the hammer.
Concours d'Elegance as the highlight of the Zoute Grand Prix 2019
One of the major highlights is the Concours d'Elegance. This year's Concours will once again feature classic cars from a wide variety of eras. You can admire pre- and post-war cars, as well as exclusive cars from the Belgian royal family. The best of the best (or the most beautiful of the most beautiful?) compete for the best rating from around 25 expert judges from all over the world.
The Concours will take place again this year on the grounds of the Royal Zoute Golf Club in Het Zoute, both on Saturday, October 12 and Sunday, October 13, 2019.
Special model cars and a novelty
A novelty this year is a competition of a special kind. Model car manufacturer Bburago has designed and produced a 1:24 scale model of the Lamborghini Huracán especially for the anniversary of the Zoute Grand Prix. This model is also the main prize in the above-mentioned competition. As the main prize, the winner will be able to enjoy a free ride in a real Lamborghini Huracán for a year. The costs incurred will be covered by the competition organizer. To take part in this competition, all you have to do is buy one of Bburago's collector's items on the site. Nothing more is necessary. With this gesture, Bburago manages to provide the winner with an unforgettable experience.
