Many model car collectors have been waiting for this and CMC has come to their senses: at the beginning of 2015, the Aston Martin DB4 GT Zagato from 1961 will be released as a 1:18 scale model, made of metal and 1838 individual parts.
The Aston Martin DB4 GT Zagato was an exclusive sports car with British engineering and Italian bodywork. The car was created in 1960 and 1961 in collaboration between Aston Martin and the Zagato coachbuilder in Milan. Designed by Ercole Spada, it is considered one of the most beautiful cars ever built.
Anyone wishing to own the model, which costs around 380 euros, can already register their interest at modelcar.de.
Lambo to build yourself
But if you still need a quick present for Christmas or need something to build yourself for the festive season, you should perhaps take a look at the Pocher model of theLamborghini Aventador LP700-4 Roadster, which is 595 mm long, 287 mm wide and 144 mm high in 1:8 scale. The seven-kilogram masterpiece comprises 814 parts.
Following on from the Pocher tradition, the body of the excellently detailed model is made entirely of metal and is already painted. Various parts can be moved and doors and hoods can be opened. Even right or left-hand drive is included. The accurately fitting kit has many screwed components and is therefore easy to assemble.
The kit is available from modelcar.de with a delivery time of one to two days. The price is Euro 599 including VAT but excluding shipping costs.
