The first and only rally for young people up to the age of 35, the RAID Young Raiders Challenge, is entering its second year. The second edition starts on Saturday, May 5 and ends on Sunday, May 6, 2018. The rally celebrates 70 years of VW in Switzerland.
The junior rally took place for the first time in 2017 and passed its baptism of fire very successfully. Due to the increasing number of young drivers at the regular RAID Suisse-Paris event in recent times, the RAID organization decided to create this rally, which is unique in its kind. A young and oldtimer rally for young drivers only, in which young cars (of youngtimer age) are also permitted.
Starting in Zurich (Dübendorf), the Youngriders Challenge in 2018 will lead through eastern Switzerland and then to Lucerne (Verkehrshaus). On Sunday, the route continues overland to the finish, the Toffen classic car gallery south of Bern.
A TCS traffic and safety center will also be visited during the rally.
Old and youngtimers of all makes are eligible. The invitation to tender will be published at the beginning of 2018.
