As is tradition, the classic cars of Switzerland's largest winter rally will start in the middle of St. Moritz on Thursday, January 17, 2019.
Among the many other exciting destinations on this trip through ice and snow is the first ascent of Monte Grappa in Veneto. From up there you can see Venice and the sea on a clear (winter) day. This mountain ridge in northern Italy marks the exact middle of the three-day event, which, after numerous Dolomite passes, will once again reach the finish in the middle of St. Moritz on Saturday, January 19.
Around 50 cars with their hardy drivers and co-drivers are expected. The veterans will cover a total of 1000 km over three days in the harshest winter conditions.
A prologue with its own award ceremony will be held on January 16, 2019 to get in the mood for the event.
Exciting program
On January 17, 2019, the "real" 16th Winter RAID will kick off at 12:30 p.m., with the first day leading all the way to Trento.
On Friday, January 18, 2018, the journey continues through Trentino and Veneto. The destination is Bolzano, where there will also be time for a visit to the spa.
On Saturday, the route will then lead to Val Martello for the first time, with the destination being St. Moritz, where the award ceremony will also take place.
