Westfield Sportscars has sold around 16,000 vehicles since 1982. The brand achieved worldwide fame with the Westfield SE, a modern interpretation of the legendary Lotus Seven.
Trackday organizer as new owner
Driving-Fun.com, one of the largest organizers of trackdays in Europe and operator of the Circuit Meppen, today announces the acquisition of Westfield Sportscars.
With over 100 trackdays per year and its own test track, Driving-Fun.com sees great potential for the brand in both popular and competitive sport.
Future Westfield models will be assembled in Meppen (Germany) in a new production facility right next to the race track. The supply of spare parts for existing Westfield vehicles throughout Europe will also be handled from there.
Existing models will continue to be produced
Initially, production of existing models such as the SE, XI Le Mans and Westfield Cup will continue, while work on several new models for road and track will be carried out in parallel.
The current website is soon to be replaced by a completely new online presence that will further shape the transformation of this unique car manufacturer. Until then, interested parties can contact Peter Tunissen.
