From 1927 to 1957, the historic Mille Miglia covered a 1600 km route from Brescia to Rome and back.
Since 1977, the race has enjoyed a revival as a regularity rally, in which 400 classic and 100 modern cars drive over 1800 km through six Italian regions in five days, while thousands of spectators enjoy the spectacle.
Enzo Ferrari once called the 1000 Miglia "the most beautiful race in the world", a statement that speaks volumes. The forthcoming UNESCO World Heritage listing underlines the historical significance of this "road race".
1000 Miglia WarmUp CH
The "1000 Miglia WarmUp CH" is an official event of the 1000 Miglia SRL in Italy. It offers the opportunity to get to know the legendary event or to prepare for it. The event is taking place for the third time in enchanting regions of Switzerland and is organized by Scuderia Classiche GmbH as a licensed event.
The aim of the warm-up is to get in the mood for the history and nature of the event in a collegial environment.
Personal and harmonious
The 1000 Miglia WarmUp offers the opportunity to understand or improve in time trials. This is made possible in a warm and friendly atmosphere in a perfectly harmonious setting. Far away from the stress of big events, there is room for personal interaction and individual feedback.
A maximum of 25 teams can take part, and cars built up to 1976 are permitted. This means that cars that cannot take part in the main event can also take part, as this is limited to specific models built up to 1957.
The 2024 WarmUp
On Thursday, May 30, 2024, participants will check in at the hotels provided in Ascona, where vehicle checks and a welcome dinner will also take place.
The following day, the route leads to the north of the Alps. Timing and training are on the program, as well as a visit to the Swiss Classic World as the main attraction, before the day ends with a great dinner.
On Saturday, we head back to Ascona via picturesque mountain roads. A spectacular lakeside driveway and an elegant dinner await us there.
Sunday morning, June 2, 2024, offers a drive through the enchanting region, followed by the award ceremony on the lakeshore and a final lunch.
The event price includes accommodation, food, road book, stickers, a team outfit, a personalized photo album, a time trial course/training, gifts and technical support via the service team. The cost is CHF 6500 for a team in a double room.
