On Thursday, 12.03.2020 at 2.04 pm, the organizers of the Veterama Hockenheim received the message from the city of Hockenheim, Department of Citizen Services, that due to the corona virus, all major events with more than 1000 participants must be cancelled by ministerial decree.
It is with great regret that the Veterama organizers are following the order. As Veterama was only a good two weeks away, the consequences are particularly harsh, especially as it was announced just a week ago that the company was well prepared for the trade fair ("Veterama ready to go").
In the run-up to the event, all possibilities were examined with the city of Hockenheim to allow the event to take place despite the current corona situation, especially since it is an open-air event. All these efforts were ultimately in vain.
The organizers were still waiting for the "formal decision", which they were promised for the next few days. However, they felt it was right to inform the public, exhibitors and visitors now.
