Many classic car rallies are almost like two peas in a pod. Under the motto "We inspire with unique events", VP Privatbank has created a new kind of experience centered around the historic automobile.
The VP Bank Rally is an event that is exclusive in many respects, but not out of the ordinary. The social venue for the event is the Grand Resort Bad Ragaz. The rally starts from there on Saturday, June 15, 2019.
On the road on back roads
The theme is discovering and driving through the most beautiful landscapes of Vorarlberg, far from the usual main roads.
The first day of the rally ends in the center of Vaduz, which is celebrating the 300th anniversary of the Liechtenstein Prince's Tower. This is followed by a soirée in Bad Ragaz in the park of the resort amidst the historic cars of the rally and other guests. Culinary delights, petrolhead discussions, interesting vintage watches from Huber Fine Watches & Jewellery, as well as the latest BMW Alpina models presented by Max Heidegger AG (exclusive importer for Switzerland and Liechtenstein) characterize this very special evening.
World cultural heritage
On Sunday, June 16, the rally starts on the most beautiful back roads to St. Gallen. Here, the participants visit the high baroque Abbey Library, one of the few UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Switzerland, under expert guidance.
Lunch in the old town is followed by the third and final stage of this rally, which combines driving pleasure, culture and culinary delights: The destination is the newly renovated Hotel Hasenstrick in the Zurich Oberland.
From here, you can enjoy the most beautiful view of Lake Zurich and the Oberland, and this is where the ranking is announced and prizes awarded, with an aperitif riche concluding the event.
Diverse
In terms of driving, the program is particularly varied. Variability drive is the order of the day: sometimes you drive according to the map, then again according to the road book, free routes dedicated exclusively to enjoying the landscape alternate with sections reserved for tests.
Style and culture in pleasant company, driving pleasure and countryside experience, coupled with sporting sections and culinary experiences: the VP Bank Rally offers a whole spectrum. The organization RAID, which has specialized in large rallies for historic automobiles in Switzerland and abroad for 29 years, has been entrusted with the organization of the event.
