The first customer vehicle of the exclusive SUB1000 series is delivered at Sportec. This marks the official start of production. This year, two further examples of the Ferdinand series and four SUB1000 vehicles will also be handed over to their owners. A significant moment for Sportec - because with this delivery, the Swiss manufacturer is proving that its uncompromising and purist vision is going into series production.
Progress in every detail
The SUB1000 remains absolutely true to the purist concept: minimum weight, maximum dynamics and unfiltered driving pleasure. But while the prototype already set standards, the first customer vehicle goes one step further. The Sportec engineers have made significant optimizations in the areas of technology, electrics and design.
The most comprehensive upgrade concerns the electronics. As delivered, the SUB1000 is equipped with an ultra-modern complete vehicle wiring harness with CAN bus function. This enables innovative digital engine control, comprehensive monitoring sensors and intelligent voltage management via a digital fuse system from motorsport. As a result, the driving machine not only gains in efficiency, but also in reliability and further digital upgrade options - whether for the road or for ambitious use on the racetrack.
Another new feature is the sport mode with a more aggressive map and increased maximum speed (7600 rpm compared to 7200 rpm), which can be set via the red aluminum switch. Sport mode unlocks full power, has a more direct accelerator pedal tuning and is clearly recognizable both visually and acoustically thanks to the increased idling speed and the red illumination of the rev counter in the interior.
The new oil lines with aluminum caps are also inspired by racing. A solution that is also used reliably in aviation and ensures maximum safety and durability. The intake system has also been further optimized: With the help of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulations, the air flow has been redesigned to further improve power delivery.
Precision in detail
Another highlight is the newly developed handbrake lever design, CNC-milled from aluminum. It is not only a visual eye-catcher, but also combines high-quality design with perfect haptics and functionality. Numerous design elements in the interior have been refined.
New trim elements and custom-fit holders for drinks and small items on the carbon seats ensure an increased level of comfort without compromising the purist character of the SUB1000. A special door handle design with a lightweight look (3D printed from aluminum, because: "No plastic mentality") ensures recognition value when getting in and the rear window is integrated into the bodywork in a form-fitting manner.

The technical data shows that Sportec is serious:
- Engine output: 345 hp @ 6500 rpm
- Torque: 380 Nm @ 4580 rpm
- Displacement: 3,600 cm3
- Weight: 990 kilograms in running order
- Weight distribution: 38/62 (Porsche 992 GT3 RS: 38.8/61.2)
- Color: Gulf Orange (on the delivered example)
Exclusivity guaranteed
Like all Sportec bikes, the SUB1000 is delivered in a unique color and individually tailored to the customer's wishes. Each bike is unique - created for enthusiastic and puristically inclined people who are looking for something special. With the successful delivery of the first ordered riding machine, it is clear that the SUB1000 is not an isolated case. It is the beginning of a new era for Sportec.
Customized configuration
In keeping with the Sportec philosophy, the first customer vehicle delivered was also customized down to the last detail. The strong character of the SUB1000 is underlined by the orange-painted fan wheel - a deliberate detail that visually emphasizes the sportiness of the unit.
It goes without saying that such unique pieces cannot be cheap. Customers can expect to pay around CHF 500,000 when ordering a SUB1000. This includes the cost of a donor vehicle (typically a Porsche Carrera 3.2 G model from the late 1980s). The customer also needs a little patience, as the customization process takes around 12-14 months. And depending on how far the customization wishes extend, the total cost of the one-off may well increase significantly.
