With her ClassicCar Photo project, automotive photographer Petra Gerwers is bringing the only original Polaroid Land 20x24 inch camera still in operation outside the USA to the AVD Oldtimer Grand Prix at the Nürburgring from August 9 to 11, 2019. With this incredible giant camera, unique one-offs of equally unique classic cars will be created in the "Old Paddock".
50 x 60 cm originals
The size of the instant pictures taken with the Polaroid 20x24 Land Camera is an impressive 50 x 60 cm. Such a picture cannot be reproduced, nor can it be "printed" again. You can therefore be sure of owning an original that is and will remain unique.
But: The required recording material is only available in small quantities, so it will not be possible to take pictures with this camera for much longer.
Drivers, racing teams and classic car owners taking part in the AvD Oldtimer Grand Prix 2019 will therefore have the unique opportunity this year to have such a one-off created of their vehicles. The photographer is offering photo shoots in pit no. 39 'Rudolf Caracciola' in the Old Paddock of the Nürburgring.
This unique opportunity is made possible by a cooperation between ClassicCar Photo and 20x24 Studio Berlin, where the camera is at home.
