When the summer sun is reflected in polished car bodies, engines roar and countless vehicles with a strong character transform the museum grounds into a colorful sea of paint and chrome, it's time again for a tuning meeting at the Technik Museum Sinsheim - characterized by the personal signature and ideas of their owners. On Saturday, June 20, 2026, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., the museum is once again inviting visitors to an automotive encounter as part of the current special exhibition "Fascination Tuning - VW vs.
After last year's successful kick-off, the event is entering its second round - open to all brand and model years and to all lovers of refined vehicles. Participation in the meeting and attendance at the event are free of charge. Registration is already possible and is requested for better planning, but spontaneous participation is also possible at any time. Further information and the possibility to register can be found at www.technik-museum.de/tuning-treffen.
Conversions, classic cars and show cars
Below the Concorde and the U17 submarine, more than 100 creative conversions, vintage cars and current show cars will gather on Saturday. Rare one-offs and classic customization vehicles in a wide range of styles will round off the event. Visitors and participants can expect an impressive variety of vehicles as well as a unique atmosphere between technical cultural heritage and modern tuning culture.
The meeting offers space for petrolhead discussions, sharing experiences and a shared passion for automotive individuality. "The special exhibition and the meeting are an impressive demonstration of how lively and diverse the tuning community is. We are particularly pleased that so many private vehicle owners have become part of this extraordinary project and share their enthusiasm with the visitors," explains Simon Orth, project manager of the event.
The program will be complemented by the moderation of the two tuning experts Daniel Scheucher from DS.AUTOMOTIVE and Denis Marasciulo. They will present selected conversions and talk to the mechanics about projects, concepts and the stories behind the unmistakable vehicles. Both have been familiar faces on the scene for years. Marasciulo is also known as a presenter at BRAZZELTAG and the Bosch Boxberg Klassik.
The current special exhibition
The event also reflects the special character of the current special exhibition. "Fascination Tuning - VW vs. Opel" was realized entirely with vehicles from private lenders from the entire DACH region and exemplifies the motto of the museum association: "For fans by fans". This exhibition was only possible thanks to the support of the community and dedicated vehicle owners. The Technik Museum Sinsheim thus once again underlines its close connection to the fan community and the automotive scene.
The special exhibition will be on display in Hall 3 of the Technik Museum Sinsheim until September 13, 2026. For visitors to the meeting, June 20 also holds an exclusive preview: As part of the event, the museum will be giving a foretaste of the upcoming special exhibition for the first time.
