As every year, the Tour Auto 2022 will begin on April 25 with an exhibition day in Paris. The next morning, the journey begins and the 230 or so teams set off to "experience" the most beautiful roads in France. The entire tour stretches over 2000 eventful kilometers and includes five city stages, four "track sessions" with time measurements and a dozen special stages on closed roads. The route will be announced on November 30, 2021 at 8 p.m., but those interested can already look forward to a particularly interesting section of the rally outside the "hexagon".
Andorra, 20 years later...
The 31st edition of the Tour Auto will end in Andorra on April 30, 2022. Only once before, in 2002, did the rally make a guest appearance in the Principality. The culture, the fantastic landscapes and, last but not least, the many beautiful (mountain pass) roads of the Pyrenean state are sure to enchant the participants.
Cars in the spotlight
In an effort to renew the field of participating cars and to attract special vehicles for the Tour Auto, the organizers designate a model each year that had an exceptional impact on the history of the "Tour de France Automobile" between 1951 and 1973.
Next year, the Ferrari 365 GTB/4 "Daytona", in which Jean-Claude Andruet won this major stage race in 1972, will be celebrated.
The "pioneers", i.e. the cars that took part in the first Tour de France Automobile after the Second World War between 1951 and 1954, will also be honored. They include illustrious brands and types such as the Delahaye 235, early Ferrari racing cars, the Fiat 8V, the Gordini-Barchettas, Jaguars C-Type, Oscar and others.

Interested parties can register between November 18, 2021 and January 1, 2022. The registration form and further information about the Tour Auto 2022 can be found on the official website of the organizer.
