It may sound a little paradoxical, but The I.C.E. in St. Moritz, planned for February 23 and 24, 2024, had to be canceled at short notice and for good due to persistent snowfall.
Here is the official (translated) announcement
"Despite all the efforts made since 5am this morning to prepare the I.C.E. Village on the frozen lake for you all, we regret to inform you that the event has unfortunately had to be canceled due to the exceptional snowfall that has been plaguing the entire Engadine for the past 20 hours.
The snowfall, which is still continuing, is an exceptional event that has not occurred to this extent in St. Moritz for several years and has resulted in the partial isolation of the valley since this morning.
The more than 60 cm of snow that has fallen does not allow us to guarantee access to the I.C.E. village and the safety of all participants.
We would like to thank all those who have worked tirelessly to make this event possible, especially the partners and sponsors, but also all those who have managed to join us or have been forced to change their plans as a result of this announcement.
The date is for next year, inspired by the same passion that has guided all previous editions."
