This new beginning promises to be exciting: With a wealth of experience and a forward-looking concept, event organizer SIHA is embarking on a new era. The course is set, the traffic light is green: The new Techno Classica Salon will open its doors in Dortmund from September 24 to 27, 2026. It stands for the deliberate, well thought-out further development of an absolutely successful format.
"The new date offers many opportunities," says SIHA project manager Janine Franssen: "We are also deliberately avoiding collisions." Added to this is the fact that Messe Dortmund stands for excellent infrastructure, short distances and excellent accessibility.
"As the largest city in the Ruhr metropolitan region, Dortmund offers the ideal conditions for the format - as a strong business location with more than 20,000 companies, with a central location in the middle of Germany's most populous federal state and ideal transport links," says Sabine Loos, Managing Director of the Westfalenhallen Group: "We are delighted to have gained an exciting new event for Messe Dortmund with the Techno Classica Salon. A format with tradition, character and, above all, a new target group."
Even more international and diverse
In addition to the date, the organizer SIHA has also optimized a lot of the content. "We are focusing even more than before on the internationality of the exhibitors and visitors," says Janine Franssen: "With the character of a salon, we will establish a serious, versatile and unique trading venue on a global level."
This is expressed not only by the new name Techno Classica Salon, but also by the new claim: The World Classic Car Salon.
SIHA is regarded as the inventor of the modern classic car trade fair, which opened its doors for the first time back in 1989. "With the new Techno Classica Salon, we are building on the tried and tested and defining a new, high level for the industry with a great deal of focus and quality," says Janine Franssen: "We love cars, and everyone can experience that with us." Visitors can expect a unique portfolio of exhibitors, vehicles and themes.
In its first edition, the Techno Classica Salon will offer an exhibition area of around 50,000 square meters. The SIHA team has unique expertise, built up over many decades, in the implementation of large, successful classic car fairs. Registrations are now open.
Further information on the themes and highlights of the Techno Classica Salon will follow in the coming weeks.
