For several years now, synthetic fuels have been used in the motorsport and classic car sectors and their suitability has been demonstrated. As a result, the demand for these fuels is constantly increasing.
Coryton and Sustain Racing C70
Horag has chosen the manufacturer Coryton as its partner, which produces new sustainable fuels under the product name "Sustain".
Sustain Racing C70 is a certified and well-documented fuel that is produced from at least 70% sustainable base materials. The fuel offers 100 octane and is compliant with FIA Annex J. The fuel costs CHF 7.10 per liter (plus VAT) and is available in drums of 50 liters.
The fuel is produced from 70% sustainable base materials with 30% quality admixture of fossil or mass-balanced ingredients in order to achieve the required quality. This results in a CO2 reduction of 65% over the entire production process.
The fuel contains less than one percent ethanol and contains 2.6% oxygen. The final boiling point is 182 degrees, so there is no risk of lubricating oil dilution.
The fuel's properties make it suitable for use in classic cars and racing vehicles. The "Goodwood Festival of Speed" also uses Sustain Racing 70 fuel.
