On May 3 and 4, 2025, the 4th edition of the new Swiss Retro Mecanika trade fair will take place for the second time at Palexpo. Palexpo has proven its practicality in 2024 to the many visitors who have embraced the new setting of the largest trade fair in French-speaking Switzerland !
Palexpo offers access to roads and highways, parking at the gates of the exhibition without lengthy shuttles, a parking lot for classic cars over 40 years old and the entire event in a single large hall on one level and accessible to all.
With a road trip
A small road trip through the canton of Geneva will be organized on 4 May 2025. Participants (with classic cars over 40 years old) can park for free, receive an entrance fee, a breakfast (hot drink, orange juice, croissant, bread roll) and a sticker for CHF 25.00 per person.
Departure is free between 7.30 and 8.30 a.m. and the journey takes approximately 45 minutes. The route will be communicated on departure, the departure point will be announced after payment.
The round trip is limited to the first 50 registrations, last registration date is April 15, 2025
The Arteal Auction
The auction will take place on Saturday, May 3 at 3:30 pm, bringing together around thirty vehicles, most of which are ready to hit the road again. From the small transalpine city car to the elegant English convertible, the Italian sports coupé to the comfortable French or German limousine, the selection is tempting and suitable for every budget!
Eternelle DS
The incredible Citroën DS is in its seventies and still as technologically advanced as when it was launched on October 6, 1955 !
With a selection of the most striking versions of the generations produced between 1955 and 1975 and the body variants of saloons, breaks and convertibles on display, visitors can relive 20 years of production. The guest star will be the convertible built by the Beutler brothers from Thun, which was presented in 1959, two years before the "factory version"!
70 DS Challenge
To liven up the exterior of the Palexpo as well, the organizers want to bring together another 70 DS and ID cars on Sunday, May 4 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., which will of course come on the road ! A unique opportunity to see these cars that invented the "magic carpet effect" drive.
To meet all expectations, the parking lot reserved for classic cars over 40 years old will be full of vehicles from other brands, a sort of car show of the past to admire before entering Hall 5 to visit the 160 exhibitors who will present all facets of the mobility heritage of yesteryear on 15,000 m2. Other exhibitions and presentations of books will of course enliven the aisles, the stands of professional dealers, the unpacking tables for private individuals, in short the whole universe awaited by Swiss and French collectors who can't wait to experience this 4th edition with fervor!
