Every year, fans of historic vehicles traditionally celebrate their passion for classic cars at the Südtirol Classic in Scena/Schenna. Between the Alpine lifestyle, culture and nature, the annual event is also about fast-paced competition. In the Corona year 2020, however, everything is different: the event is being streamlined into the Südtirol Classic Light. The 35th anniversary of the classic rally has been postponed, but not canceled: The anniversary will be duly celebrated next year.
Südtirol Classic Light
For the first time, there will be no road book or time trials for the popular rally from August 23 to 30, 2020 - instead, the focus will be on enjoyment, company and shared rides to the most beautiful destinations around the municipality near Merano. This year's gathering of classic car fans will be relaxed in Scena/Schenna. Varied stages lead up the "Queen of Alpine Roads" to the Stilfserjoch in the Vinschgau Valley, for example, and the scenic tours also lead through the Passeier Valley and the Dolomites. And all without a stopwatch or time pressure.
At lunchtime and in the evenings, the focus is on enjoyment and fellowship, as well as at the exclusive closing gala in the special ambience of Goyen Castle. The usual regulations of the Südtirol Classic Schenna do not apply this year. This means that vehicles of all makes built up to 1985 may take part.
The weekly package can be booked from August 23 to 30, 2020 or the shortened four-day variant, in which participants join the rest of the group on August 26.
