The “Alte Schweden” car meet will take place for the third time on July 19, 2026, at Motorworld Region Stuttgart and is considered the largest event celebrating Swedish automotive culture in Germany. Around 300 Volvo and Saab vehicles are expected at the site of the former airfield in Böblingen—ranging from lovingly preserved classics to “youngtimers” from the 2000s.
Special Exhibition on Swedish Motorsports History
The highlight will be a special exhibition in the Legends Hall dedicated to the motorsports history of Volvo and Saab.
On display are historic winning vehicles—from the boxy Volvo touring cars that made motorsport history as “flying bricks” to the legendary Saab rally cars that enjoyed great success, especially on snow and gravel. The exhibition is complemented by an accompanying photo exhibition and historical motorsports videos.
Many Anniversaries
In addition, the Motortreff is celebrating several major Volvo and Saab anniversaries, including 70 years of the Volvo Amazon, 60 years of the Volvo 100, 50 years of the Volvo 300, 40 years of the Volvo 480 ES, 40 years of the Saab 900 Cabriolet, and 30 years of the Volvo V70/S70.
Vendor booths—including parts dealer Skandix—food and beverage options, and a children’s program round out the event.
