The special race for the legendary endurance racers of the sixties and seventies on the Nordschleife as part of the ADAC 1000 km race is developing well. Sports prototypes (also CanAm, Interserie) from 1966 onwards and Group 5 cars (1976 to 1981) are eligible to start. In a special class, a few Group C vehicles will also be at the start - with a view to possible later priorities.
In memory of Jochen Mass
The "In memoriam of Jochen Mass" event was also very well received. On this occasion, companions and friends of the versatile racing driver were invited to a lunch with all participants of the special class on September 20, 2025.
In addition to Kurt Ahrens, Mario Ketterer, Rainer Braun, Ecki Schimpf, Hans Clausecker and Porsche race doctor Dr. Karl Schuster, Roland Asch and Klaus Ludwig are also expected to attend, as things stand today.
Historic paddock with highlights
Real highlights are also expected for the historic paddock.
There will be the Mercedes-Benz O 317 Porsche racing transporter from 1977 as well as a highly exclusive display, namely the Kremer models K 1 to K 4. In addition, models from the famous Cologne racing team can be expected on the track, such as the Porsche 917 from 1981, which was last built for Le Mans.
Ferrari, Matra, Alpine and co?
As almost all Porsche sports prototypes ever built have already been named, owners of the competing brands of the time are now mainly being asked by circular to claim the last few places. You can enter directly online.
Incidentally, the cars will not be raced, but driven behind a (hopefully fast) lead vehicle, which is why the cars do not have to comply with the current FIA regulations and do not require a car pass. They will of course be checked for safety before the demo laps at scrutineering.
Further information is of course also available online.
